In answer to SteveC, I thought I should start a new topic since this has nothing to do with the "Tsunami Scare of 1964", except for the fact I was late getting to school the day after the big scare.
Yes, the Meadowsweet Private School was the old dairy. I went to school there from kindergarten through the first part of third grade, 62-66. I think it only went up to third grade, but I wanted to be with my friends who went to Strawberry Point School, so I transferred halfway through that year. I really didn't like the private school thing anyway by that time. I think I remember the woman's name that ran the school as being Mrs. Woodward. She actually lived on the property. The school building was really creepy I remember. They served us a hot lunch every day and a snack every afternoon. One snack they would never serve today was white bread, spread with butter and sprinkled heavily with white granulated sugar. It was so yummy! Anybody else remember that school?
