I called Dial a spazz for many years. Mark even let me guest host some tapes in 1987. He only shut it down because he was moving to Novato and the phone company wouldn't install the needed lines in his new home. Mark just opened a website:

I remember calling the Spazz hotline when I was a kid; from my best friend's house when we knew we wouldn't get caught! My sister and I reminisced the other day when we found your website, and both remembered that this line had hysterically sexy messages on it.

Somebody tell me what "Dial a Spaz" is/was. Apparently some kind of radio joke call thing?

I didn't do the party lines but I remember when Mark Hester won a contest and went on KFRC.
The DJ, Marvelous Mark introduced him as......Marvelous Mark Hester.
Pretty cool since he lived in the neighborhood and used to mow our lawn.

I've actually interviewed Mark Spazz for the site and am looking forward to posting it in the future.

I'm waiting on some video and audio he says he'll run off and give to me when he gets the chance. He's a busy guy, running his own business at http://www.goodtimedj.com.

Actually, it would be great if people in this Forum could start writing their Dial A Spazz memories which I could then incorporate into the story.

So...what do you remember most about Dial A Spazz?
