stingray, Sun Valley is pretty much everything west of H St in San Rafael, all the way to the end of Fifth Avenue at the gates of Mt Tamalpais Cemetary and in between the Terra Linda ridge to the north (pictured in the photo) and the ridge that seperates the valley from Miracle Mile to the south.



There were western movies made there and I've heard the dairy that was there brought their cows and or milk and other products down to the site where Yardbirds shopping center is to be milked/bottled and distributed.



There is a large nursery at approx. Fifth and K that is 100 years old and still going strong. They have a nice Christmas display in December.



There is also a little shopping area at Fifth and California that's still going from when the subdivision was built circa 1947 (that's in the picture)



It includes the Sun Valley Market and a laundramat and hair stylist.



I would love to know what other business' were there in the '50's.
