One summer evening my friend Larry & I went down to Sausalito to raid the big avacado tree that was in the park with the elephant statues & fountain near the ferry landing, we filled 1 shopping bag & were starting to fill another when a woman stuck her head out a second story window across the street & yelled at us to stop what we were doing, it was Sally Stanford, the big avacado perished in the big freeze of 1990 I think. When I was growing up we had a couple of neighbors, Mr & Mrs Boyle, my mom said she was Sally's sister, & she did look like Sally. The Boyle's raised chickens, pheasant, & pigeons, and they gave me a white pigeon as a pet.
