I agree - it was definitely in Tiburon on Main Street in the 70's. My family used to go to dinner at "The Dock" restaurant and afterwards my parents let us run down to the back near the water and play in their for awhile.
Hmm, I certainly remember it being in Tiburon in 1970. Maybe it was only there for a short time, or merged with another collection in the city, but it was definitely called the Musee Mechanique and just off Main St. near Tiburon Blvd.I>
Yep, I recall visiting it there. I can't swear one billion percent that it was called Musee Mechanique, but it was full of stuff like that.
The Musee Mechanique was in the basement of the Cliff House in San Francisco not in Tiburon...

OK, just figured it out; the owner, Edward Galland Zelinsky who owns Main Street Properties, lives in Tiburon and must have originally installed it there before he moved it to the city.

I remember it because as a kid I took a photography class at a studio just next to it, and in our free time we'd all go over there to play.

Does anyone remember the old fashioned arcade down at the end of the pier on Main Street in Tiburon.
I remember my parents taking all of us out to dinner at the Dock and then afterwards, we got to run to somewhere in the back (nearer the water) where there was this arcade with the really neat pinball games - not like the electronic ones today - but we had a blast. You could put a dime in and watch those old movies etc.
