I took my oldest son there a few times, for birthday parties. It was great because once you were inside, you just let them loose! It was one of the only places in Marin where you could have a kids party and not completely break the bank. There used to be a place at the Vintage Oaks center in Novato, when it first opened, that was a giant tube maze for kids. It was mass chaos. They actually had a sound-proof glass quiet room right in the middle for the parents to regain their sanity. Another good kids spot that bit the dust.
I have to defend this place often. Since we're all "foodies" now people say it had lousy food.
It was never about the food. Period. Underline it.
It was about kids and games and fun.
As young parents spending time with other parents and enjoying our little kids, it was the one place the kids could sorta wander off a little bit and everyone had fun.
When I started raising my daughter myself, I would "date" new girlfriends with their own kids there.
I never went to it's replacement Max Sportster though.
