Yo Storocco- re: prior post. Agreed. It's not a good thing to "dose" someone as a funny trick or a joke. Some pr*ck, who shall remain nameless, did that to me in "high" school @ Redwood. Slipped it right into my chocolate milkshake at lunchtime. I was totally gone untill around 8PM. Good thing I didn't Have to go to work at Marin Joe's that nite!
One thing of interest , during the time when Col. White retired , there was more pot , hash and LSD in Stinson Beach than anywhere else in the country , it was a drug center. They used to cook up the first batches of Clear Light in Stinson , pre window pane , it was purple tabs - not Sandoz , but not too bad.
All of us who lived in Stinson Beach remember George White , the retired NARC who became the " Fire Warden " in 1965. George would always cruise the beach in his Jeep and hassle anyone who had bonfires on the beach , he was a party pooper. George was one serious NARC who worked for the then Narcotics Buearu of the U.S. govt. Google his name and you will find 10 linier feet of paper on his deeds. I went through them quickly and I didn't see a project he worked on in Mill Valley in the early 60's. The Narcs recruted some local call girls to hook up with Johns at the Old Mill Tavern. The girls would slip a good dose of Sandoz into their drinks , and then lure them up to a house on Lovell Ave. for sex. In that house they had 2 way mirrors with cameras and audio recorders to watch the men have sex and document the effects of the pure D-Lysergic Acid Diethelamide Tartrate 25 ( LSD-25 ) on the men. I always thought that was a mean thing to to do to someone. it's one thing if a person takes it knowingly , but to dose them is bad. But I guess it was important to the Narcs at the time to build a case to make LSD illegal , and then bust the tagged members of the " Counter Culture ".
