Small world ! I know your uncle Dick Lynch, or at least I've met him a few times at neighborhood events. I've been living up on Maywood since 1978 and all of the people on the block could tell when Spring was coming, because the Lynch racing cars would start showing up parked in front of his house on the weekends. I haven't seen those in a while, so I guess he's hung up his steering wheel.
Hey, my Uncle, Dick Lynch, lives up at the top of Maywood Way. He bought the house in the mid-'70's, after it started sliding down the hill. He stablized it, and has been there ever since. Beautiful views of Terra Linda...
He used to have ads on local shopping carts, for his body and fender shop, with his picture and the slogan "world's oldest body and fender man", or some such thing. He's 80, and still works on cars. He stopped racing super-stock, just a couple of years ago. He's a madman, with the mind of a steel trap.
I live on Maywood Way, in the hills above Sun Valley in San Rafael, and have been told that in the 20s & 30s there was a studio there that shot cowboy movie (Tom Mix, etc) up in those hills. Anybody have any information on that?
Check out my two posts near the top of this thread.
