Apologize to your sister for me. We were really envious and curious of their ponies. Karen D. and a girl named Jenna kept their ponies up (either at or near your pasture) at Meadowsweet drive. I thought that was so cool that they delivered papers on ponies. Whatever gave them the idea?
GRENZINN, My sister was one of the girls who delivered the paper. The ponies were keep at a farm on Meadow Valley Rd. with access to the pasture on Meadowsweet Dr. (the papers were delivered to the library). The girls who owned the ponies at the time of the picture names were Bonnie & Dawn. I can only remember one of the ponies name Dusty(light tan with a dark brown tail).
The picture of the ponies is so familiar. These girls were our newspaper carriers for a while. I was really young at the time, so I don't remember their names, but we used to call them "Litter Bug and Poop Patrol". Litter Bug referred to the fact that they were always throwing papers and Poop Patrol was for well the obvious droppings that ponies leave. If I remember correctly the ponies were kept at a small piece of property behind the library. I had some friends that kept ponies there later. I think one of the ponies in the picture belonged to Karen Duffy later on.
