King?? I'm flattered. I always thought more like "prince". Old Frank could always top me in the ass-cheek flappin' dept. Especially after snortin' a couple a couple of rat-tails of common table salt.
Rob , M Rich was not at the party but the last time I saw him 2 weeks ago , he had the usual close clip haircut , looked as straight as an arrow , like a lot of us do to blend in to society these days. But not all of us are willing to conform , we may still have short hair but still don't agree with what some people who have moved here lately want to do to Marin , ie: trains and condos , and we are all actually old long haired Hip people at heart and will fight the politicians , developers , and brainwashed do gooders tooth and nail to preserve our quality of life here in Marin. We say , all the way with LBJ , you never had it sooo good.
StoraccObabba--- Sounds really great. I'm heartbroken I wasn't able to be there. If Meadowsweet Rich was in attendance, he could of done the bad bugaloo with Freewheelin' Frank. I hear those two crazy guys are having a hair growing contest!
I did not make it to the parade in Larkspur , but I did go to the party at John's house. I heard there were more of the old gang at the parade , but some of the people I saw at the party were , Barbara S. , Ricky G. , Melenie R. , Roxanne , Tina and Sherry F. , Belle M. , Larry S. , Rob K. , Wayne and Donna Y. and a bunch of others that I did not remember. There was a moment of honor for the people that were no longer with us , I missed hearing some of the first names that were mentioned but I was shocked to hear about Stacy R. passed 2 weeks ago and Gary N. passed last week . It was a great party with a band , and kegs of John's favorite beer , Stella Artois , and yes in the tradition of all Larkspur parties there was Bud , I actually drank one since the kegs ran out and the Bud was ice cold , it was good.
Hi Steve, The Madrone Canyon Gang are the OG's ( Original Gangsters ) from Larkspur back in the 60's and 70's . They are the ones who put on the huge keg parties up in Silver Forest. If you ever go to the Peso they can tell you all about it , and you guessed it , Y is for York. I haven't asked for his permission to post his party , I figure anyone around at the time who would associate with gangsters would know what I'm talking about.
